This is an etching that I created based on a photo I took of an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) feasting on my parent's butterfly bush. The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is the state butterfly of Virginia.
This was created using a soft ground on a zinc plate etching in a copper sulfate saline solution
